I was the software and integration lead for the KnightDash project, a part of the American Institute of Aeronautics & Astronautics club at the University of Central Florida (AIAA@UCF).
The KnightDash Drone was a project to create a concept food delivery drone. The concept was designed, built, fabricated, programmed and tested. It was able to fly autonomously using waypoints and landing tags.
My role on this project revolved around hardware and software integration. I was responsible for many of the components that allowed the drone to fly autonomously, including the camera, GPS system, motor ESCs, and on-board software.
