I was a part of the Themed Entertainment Association at the University of Central Florida (TEA@UCF), and the tech lead for their Spring 2024 Escape Room Project.
Each year, the TEA@UCF club puts on a build project, where we create a themed experience on a budget for students at UCF to enjoy. This year it was an escape room, themed to an ancient temple.
I created several puzzles involving touch points, distance sensors, and moving props. This entailed designing both electronic circuits and mechanical elements.
I also created a control panel to manage group's progress through the rooms and to prompt room reset. It also had an HMI style panel to control room sound effects and moving props.
